Updog Boutique is Canada's FIRST Mobile Dog Boutique!

WHO:

Updog is owned and operated by one human - Leslie Watson - and one dog - Murtaugh Watson.

Leslie is a thirty-something theatre professional-turned-small business owner who has a BIG love for all puppers. She is in charge of development, construction, marketing, design, purchasing, accounting, sweeping, stocking, driving, and parking Updog - to varying degrees of success.

She can often be found with an iced coffee in her hand (no matter the temp outside) and a large brown dog at her side.

Murtaugh is a 3-year-old Goldendoodle. He is a Taurus, and loves long walks, stinky treats, and his favourite Chuck It ball. He farts every time he sits down and has no sense of personal space.

WHAT:

Updog Boutique is a MOBILE boutique that exists inside a 14-foot V-nose cargo trailer. It was lovingly renovated by Leslie (and begrudgingly co-renovated by her dad) in April of 2019.

The shop-on-wheels gets towed to dog parks and events, set up, and functions as a fully built out shop for humans and their pups to browse.

Our ramp entry provides easy access, and our extra-tall ceilings and windows keep the trailer bright and airy!

WHERE:

Usually, Updog can be found at your fave Winnipeg Dog Parks (Maple Grove, Charleswood, Bonnycastle, Kilcona, Devonshire Village), your fave markets (LuckyGirl x Alleyways, Third + Bird), and your fave events (Manyfest, Winnipeg Beach Boardwalk Days) - and more!

Due to the current pandemic, Updog can be found exclusively online. All the same great brands and products are available to you, with the convenience of home delivery or local pickup!

WHEN:

Updog operates for in-person shopping seasonally from April through October, with a mini Holiday Pop-Up each December. Stay tuned to our Social Media for our schedule, as it changes from week to week!

WHY:

Updog was created to fill a space in the Winnipeg dog community. When we were waiting for Murtaugh to arrive, and prepping for all the puppy supplies he would need, I found that I wanted things that weren't always found at your local big box pet store.

I craved the artisan collar, the small batch treats, the designer dog bowls - things that were available mostly online at the time. There is a time and place where online shopping is a great tool, but I love to be able to walk into a small local shop, pick up an item, and make sure it is a beautiful, quality product that is worthy of my dollar (and my dog's discerning tastes).

We set out to bring unique, rare, quality products directly to our fellow dog parents here in Winnipeg, and have done just that - introducing over 40 local, Canadian, and International brands to our city, many of which are still exclusive to our shop!

We also hold strong to our earth-friendliness and social responsibility by striving to feature brands that have impeccable environmental policies and supply chain transparency, whether they are local or international.
